Back in the old days when identical twins got together to drink pints of ‘Gumps’, sometimes two at a time, in gaslit pubs, where three clocks told different times.

The weirdest thing about it? No matter how much you try to have them removed, it is not possible to get rid of the beards. Even include the prompt, “these men do not have facial hair,” and they come back with even bigger and bushier beards.

And speaking of pubs. Right now I’m sitting in one, and some gobshite is belting out a karaoke ‘Born to Run’ singing, “CHAMPS like us, baby we were born to run,” even though the fucking lyrics are on the screen in front of him.

I miss those pubs with the hirsute identical twins.
